Robert Hugh Jones Sr., "Bobby" or "Papa"

Robert Hugh Jones Sr., "Bobby" or "Papa", passed away at 81 on April 12th, 2025. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather as well as a faithful Christian. Bobby never missed a service he was able to attend.

He worked at Dupont for 42 years. Bobby also loved sports. He was an adamant Tennessee Vols fan and coached his sons' baseball team. Later in life, he enjoyed telling jokes, working out, playing with his dogs, and being with family.

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Marie Jones, and his brother Bill Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jones, their son Robert Jones Jr., his wife, Angie Jones, and his granddaughter, Megan Jones.

Bobby's fun-loving nature, his patience, and his love for his family and the church will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. A celebration of Bobby's life will be held at Ridgedale Baptist Church in the Ridgedale Room (located on the left side of the church), on Tuesday, April 29th starting at 10:00 A.M.
