Robert "Bob" Gordon Gault

Robert "Bob" Gordon Gault passed away on October 21st at the age of 74. Born in Chattanooga on October 17th, 1952, Bob graduated from Cleveland High School and attended Cleveland State Community College. He worked in radio broadcasting at WBAC/Alive 95 as news director, followed by a career with the Bradley County Sheriff's Dept. He was the Public Information Officer and then a Criminal Investigation Administrative Assistant. He married Judy Wilson Gault on March 5, 1977. 

Bob was active in North Cleveland Media Ministries and Cleveland Amateur Radio Club and served eight terms as President. He was also past President of Cleveland Media Association and Board of Directors of the American Red Cross. He was a member of Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (RACES) as well as the Cleveland-Bradley Emergency Management Agency. He enjoyed photography and ham radio communication. Over the years, he built a life centered on family, faith, work, service, and community. Bob found joy in meeting new people and raising awareness of local events and resources in the community.

He leaves behind his loving wife Judy, sons Jeremy Gordon Gault and Jonathan Wilson (Megan) Gault, and grandson Jace Allen Gault. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Gordon and Kathleen Johnston Gault and granddaughter Madison Christina Gault.  

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will conclude the visitation time at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Mitch Maloney officiating. The family will go later that afternoon for a private interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens where the Bradley County Sheriff's officers will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cleveland Amateur Radio Club.
