Robert Lee Fuller Sr
August 2, 1941 - May 31, 2025
Robert Lee Fuller Sr., age 83, of Sweetwater, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on May 31, 2025. Born on August 2, 1941, in Pennsylvania to Emerson and Jean Fuller, Robert lived a life defined by kindness, passion, and a deep love for people.
Robert was a man who truly never met a stranger. His warm personality and genuine spirit drew others to him, whether he was striking up a conversation with a new acquaintance or sharing a laugh with old friends. He met the love of his life, Patricia, in Arizona, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and shared purpose. After marrying, the couple settled in Patricia's hometown of Sweetwater, where Robert quickly became a beloved member of the community.
A skilled electrician by trade, Robert dedicated many years to his profession before embracing a second chapter of meaningful work. After retirement, he joined his wife at TMG Japanese High School, where he spent five years engaging deeply with students and faculty. His time at the school sparked a profound passion for education and cultural exchange. In recognition of his dedication, Robert and Patricia were gifted a 10-day, all-expense-paid trip to Tokyo, Japan-a cherished memory that reflected the impact he had made.
Robert also shared his love of sports with the community as a longtime radio announcer for Sweetwater High School football games on WDEH Radio, a role he proudly held for 17 years. His voice became a familiar and comforting presence to many fans, parents, and players throughout the years.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson and Jean Fuller; his brother, David Fuller; sister, Linda Shushock; and daughter, Maryann Fuller.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Patricia Fuller; his children, Lynn Ann Fuller Cottrell (Allen), Cindy Underwood Barnard (Ashley), and Robert Fuller Jr. (Christi); grandchildren, Christopher (Krystal), Lauren (Dakota), Hannah, and Lyndsay; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Mackenzie; brothers, George "Bud" Fuller and Daniel Fuller (Andrea); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Among his dearest lifelong friends were Tommy Hood, Ricky Hood, Tom Guyer, and Ed Barrone. His relationships, both personal and professional, were a testament to the warmth, humor, and loyalty he brought into every aspect of his life. The family wishes to also give a special thanks to Adoration Hospice of Sweetwater for their care and compassion.
Robert Fuller leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and joy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
