As many of you know, when Bob took the covid vaccine in May of 2021, it wreaked havoc with his health. It weakened and damaged his heart and put him in acute kidney failure brought about by multiple myeloma that was given the opportunity to flare up overtaking the leukemia he had had since 2011. He spent 7-1/2 months on dialysis three days a week and a little over a year on three separate chemotherapy drugs every Monday. He remained on one of the chemotherapy medications to keep the multiple myeloma under control. One of the side effects of the drug resulted in a colostomy in November 2023. Still, he fought the good fight to live his life as normally as possible. Having said all this, I am heartbroken to report that at 1:26 Friday afternoon on June 6, 2025, he lost the battle, the covid vaccine claimed its victim.

Bob was born in Waterbury, Connecticut to Robert and Elizabeth Anderson. He grew up in Connecticut and was the oldest of three sons. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Donald Anderson.

Over the years, he has been a positive influence in many lives whether it be in his over 50 years as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America or the many roles he had in various church and charity causes. During those 50 years, he served in multiple capacities from being a scout himself to cub and scout masters to commissioner to vice president of programs. He has received many awards from his time in the BSA including the St. George medal, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Bighorn medals, the Silver Beaver medal and two Silver Antelope medals. He had also received Vigil Honor and was a "three-beader" with the Order of the Arrow, teaching the course several times. On multiple occasions, he taught survival skill courses at Philmont. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, spending most of his Army life in Korea. Bob had a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Aurora University in Illinois and an MBA from Pepperdine University in California. During his industrial career, he authored nine U.S. and International patents.

Bob also had a passion for muscle cars and spent much of his retirement cruising around the U.S.A. and Canada in them, frequently accompanied by his wife or his son. He also developed a love for cats, or as he called them, his puppies.

Bob is survived by his wife, Dr. Susan Rae Anderson, of 29 years. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Ginny) Anderson and sister-in-law Barb Anderson, his son Michael Sean (Rosy) Anderson, grandsons Johnathan (Angelica) Cheek, Christopher (Sammy) Anderson, granddaughter Jessica Anderson (Angel), great-granddaughters Madalyn Anderson and Daisy Cheek, great-grandson MJ Anderson, nephews Don (Sara) Anderson and Paul (Julie) Anderson, and niece Bridget (Nate) Borelli, grand-nieces Bethany and Allison Anderson and Angela Borelli, and grand-nephew Nic Borelli.

Special thanks go to Ginnie Geater for tirelessly working to get Bob home after his accident in Louisiana. Her love for him and dedication to him allowed him to pass peacefully at home with his wife and several close friends by his side.
