Rita Schambers

Beloved wife and mother, Rita Schambers, went to meet her dear husband Ken, in the presence of her Lord, on October 1, 2024.

Rita was preceded in death by her Parents, Emory and Edith Gage, of South Valley, NY.

Leaving behind to mourn her loss, are her children, Emory Schambers, Lorranine Whitehorn, Laurie Kuyk, and Lisa Horick. Grandchildren,

Jennifer Compton, Beth Caldera, Jessica Whitehorn, Rebecca Whithorn, her "Goodest" grandson Lance Allen, Samantha Leamon,

Timothy Horick, Mathew Schambers, and 20 great grandchildren, who were the love of her life.

Rita was a property manager in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, for 25 years. After moving to Tennessee in 2002, Rita worked for Walmart of

Cleveland, until her retirement in 2017. Animals and singing in the church choir were some of her favorite things.

A graveside service honoring both Kenneth and Rita will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 pm with Reverend Guinn Green officiating.

The family will be receiving friends and family after the service at Coverleaf Baptist Church, 2290 Waterlevel Hwy. Cleveland, TN from 5-8pm.
