Riley J. Prueitt, 66, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Riley was born on April 13, 1959 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Riley B. Prueitt and Retta L. Swanson Prueitt. Riley was a brick and stone mason by trade but was talented in many other facets as well. he was known in Cleveland as one of the best bass players around. In his spare time he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Riley loved the freedom of riding.
Riley was of Church of God faith. On the morning of his death he called the nurses and asked for prayers and a chaplain. He came and prayed and talked to him a while. Then Riley said he was ready to go and just keep him comfortable. We believe he made it to heaven. Amen praise our Lord !
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Blankenship.He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Holli Prueitt; sisters, Janet Bacon, Dianna (Eddie) Scott, Polly Suits-Frady, and Ida (Donald) Roberts; his brother, Robert (Kimberly) Prueitt; and his special friend, Susan Skidmore; Along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Chapel with Reverend Guinn Green officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm prior to the service.
