Riley Mead

Riley Mead passed on August 15 2025 at Signature Nursing Home in Cleveland Tn. Riley was a Preacher and he loved to sing. He would sing every Sunday in church at Victory House of Prayer in Athens Tn. And he loved to watch the Braves play.

Riley Elijah Mead was born on March 15 1949 in Ringgold Ga to John and Hattie Mead . He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marie Davis and 2 brothers, Eddie and Tulan Mead. Riley was married 3 times, first to Joyce who passed away from breast cancer. The second marriage was to Beverly Patterson of Birchwood Tn. Beverly passed away in 2014. And then to Mary Rymer Lemons , Mary passed away on June 25, 2020. And his good Friend and Brother-in-law Larry Rymer who passed away on March 15, 2024.

Riley is survived by step-daughter Crystal "Kris" Fox and her husband Bill Fox of Old Fort Tn. And a niece Rose and her husband Rick Gaghagen from Iowa. Brother-in-law Andy M Rymer and his Wife Brenda and Sister-in-law Kathy Rymer all of Cleveland, Tn. And good Friend Chester Mowry of Birchwood, TN.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday August 19 2025 at The Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 with the service held at 12 . Officiating will be Mitchell James, Bill Fox and Andy Rymer. Music provided by Sharon Welch.

Interment will follow at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, TN.
