Rickey Vincent Dunn

Rickey Vincent Dunn, 66, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in a local hospital. He was born in Cleveland, TN on December 4, 1959, a son of the late Wallace Vincent Dunn and Betty Sue Smith Dunn. Before a motorcycle accident he drove a car hauler helping his father haul cars, during the truckers strike in 1975 he went to work at Red Food Store on 25th street as a bag boy. Rickey loved floating down the river in boats, swimming, washing cars at the old Gin Slew and cookouts in Polk County. He enjoyed being around a lot of people and hanging out with his friends. He loved to talk and never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Even though he had a home with his sister, he loved to hang out with his friends at the Salvation Army. He was very loved and will be missed dearly by his sister and his two sons Timothy D. and Matt.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Rev. J. M & Patty Dunn and J.M & Mary Dunn maternal grandparents R. L. & Inez Smith, step mother Patricia (Woody) Dunn, two sisters Pamela Sue (Dunn) Owens and Teresa Dunn, ex wife Kimberly (Griffin) Dunn and several aunts and uncles.

Rickey leaves behind to cherish his memory two sons Timothy D. Dunn and Matt Dunn, sister and brother-in-law Kimberly & Charles David Rayfield, two brothers Little Wallace V. Dunn Jr. and James Michael Dunn, one sister Lisa Sutton, Uncle William Herman Dunn, special friend and mentor Bradly Clayton and his family, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will conclude the visitation time at 2:00 PM lead by the Reverend Bradley Clayton.
