Rick N. Anderson, 83, passed away on June 24, 2026, at Bradley Medical Center in Cleveland.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, mentor, and friend. He earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University, and his Master's in Business Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. For over 30 years, Rick served as an operations manager for M&M Mars, helping to establish the Waco, TX and Cleveland, TN facilities.
He enjoyed fishing, sports, travel, was a private pilot for a time, and was an avid fan of both Auburn and UT athletics. In his youth, he was a talented figure skater, winning several junior competitions. Later, Golf became his pastime of choice. He spent considerable time playing, officiating, and studying the sport. He scored 2 holes-in-1, became a USGA rules official, served as VP of the Chattanooga area Tennessee Golf Association, and was highly respected in the local golf community. His crowning achievement was to serve as a rules official for the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst.
He is survived by his beloved wife Donna, with whom he spent 57 wonderful years; his two sons, Erik (Megan) and Stephen; two granddaughters Jane and Sarah. He will be dearly missed.
