Obituary

Richard Leland Thompson, 64, of Apison, TN passed away on June 16, 2014 at his home. He was born on December 17, 1949 to the late R.L Thompson and Doris Swanson. Richard was a lifelong resident of this area. He worked as a painter in the automotive industry, where he was a perfectionist with his work.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Michael Brooks and Charles “Bo Bo” Brooks; one sister Beverly Thompson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Brenda Thompson; son Richard Lewis Thompson (Robin); daughter Theresa Bryson (Terry); two sisters Sandra Parkerson (Willie) and Janice Thompson Hope; three grandchildren: Ronnie Antle Jr., Kenya Romines, and Kristel Romines; two great-grandchildren Kyree Mae and Cooper Antle. In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Richard’s home on Sunday June 22, 2014 at 4:00pm. They will have a visitation period from 3:00pm-4:00pm before the service.
