Rhoda Ann Ackley

Rhoda Ann Ackley, 86, formerly of Brighton, IL, passed away June 14, 2023, in Chattanooga, TN. Born December 7, 1936, to the late Ruby R. Shipley and Reed Harold Shipley, in Jacksonville, IL. Rhoda was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Ackley (82 years old) and her son, Jamie E. Ackley (11 months).

Survived by her daughters, Peggy J. Cobb (Bruce), of Ooltewah, TN and Patricia K. Gage (Art), of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Tricia Cottrell (Steve), of Kingston, Canada; Alyssa McGill (Chris), of Hixson, TN; Jennifer Dooley (Jared), and Kimberly Edwards (Andrew), both of Red Bank, TN; great-grandchildren, Alanah (14), Olivia (9), Edwin (7), Asher (7), Aiden (5), Layla (4), and a host of friends.
