Revinia "Harriet" Ditmore Roach Guy, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at her daughter's home in McDonald.
She was born in Tellico Plains, TN on September 21, 1938, to William Jess and Cordie Stuman Ditmore She married the love of her life, B. Arnold Roach, on June 9, 1961 and relocated to McDonald, TN, where she lived until her death.
Harriet is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and father of her children, B. Arnold Roach; second husband, Henry Hoyt Guy; sisters, Vinie Ditmore and Rosie Arlene Ditmore; brothers, McKinley (Maxine) Ditmore, Henry (Anna Ruth) Ditmore, Warren (Fannie) Ditmore, Wayne Ditmore, Kay (Ersa) Ditmore, Jay (Mary) Ditmore; step children, Judy Moore, Connie Guy, and Terry Guy.
She is survived by her daughters: Janet (Tim) Woody, Joyce (Jimmy) Taylor, Judy (Rickie) Gates, of McDonald; grandchildren: Jennifer (Dustin) Jones, Amber (Jon) Brogdon, Blake (Anna) Woody, Matthew Taylor and his significant other Sarah King; special grandson, Chandler Gates, her Friday night buddy who checked on her daily; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Smith and Ryker Brogdon; special niece, Dana (Don) Brannon, who was like a sister; sister-in-law, Elmyra Ditmore, Madisonville, TN; stepdaughter, Melody (Randy) Cooley; daughter-in-law, Vicky Guy, several step grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was retired from American Uniform Company and was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Cleveland. She was a true homemaker who loved gardening, plants, cooking, canning, and sewing. She was a deacon's wife who served her community by providing meals to shut-ins during the holidays and served in many other areas of the church throughout the years. She was musically talented and had the ability to play several instruments by ear. She never met a stranger and in her later years enjoyed traveling and seeing new places with her husband, Hoyt.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 8th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with services following at 7 p.m. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 9th, at 11 a.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonald.
