In Loving Memory of Rena Fletcher. Born in February 1941. Rena passed away peacefully at Bradley Healthcare on a Friday in May 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, strength, adventure and a deep love for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her loving son, Michael Fletcher.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 57 years. Her daughter Lisa (Dave) Olson. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother who resides in Germany.
She trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and knew that her sins were forgiven by His grace.
She was a faithful member of the Shenandoah Baptist Church for over 34 years. She loved being a part of that ministry. Rena always tried to be a blessing to others as was evidenced by helping in the church nursery and ministering to residents at a local nursing home.
She loved her grandchildren and adored her Shelties. Rena was fond of taking pictures of her family, her dogs, pretty flowers, and beautiful birds. She enjoyed sewing and needlework, especially when they were gifts to others.
In her younger years, Rena enjoyed being a secretary for an assistant pastor, and on another occasion working with numbers in the finance office. She always tried to lend a hand in every church she attended.
She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her love of the outdoors, and her love for her family. Her kindness, warmth and quiet strength will never be forgotten. Her godly influence will live on in the lives she touched!
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the Shenandoah Baptist Church located at 138 Osment Road SE in Cleveland, TN from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. A service celebrating her life will take place at the church at 10:00 AM that morning with the Reverend David Gamble officiating. The interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
You are encouraged to share a memory of Renate and/or your person condolences with her family by visiting her memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunedrals.com. Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to assist her family with these arrangements.
Renta will be dearly missed by her family and many friends, but they all find comfort in knowing she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is reunited with those in Heaven who have received the Lord as their personal Savior.
