Raymond Walter Lockard Jr., of Athens, TN, passed away on March, 28, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Raymond Walter Lockard Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Williams Lockhard.

Ray was survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Darlene A. Lockard; his loving children, Lisa M. McMaster (Gary), Raymond W. Lockard III (Trinity), and Nathan M. Lockard; several cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Rekittke (Bruce) and Miriam Swarkof, along with many other extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratefulness to Amedisys Hospice of Athens for their care and compassion towards Ray and their family.

There will be a celebration of life memorial service held in honor of Ray at a later date announced and held by his family in accordance to his wishes.
