Ras Matthews

Ras Matthews, 86, lifetime resident of Cleveland, Tn, passed away on Dec. 23, 2018 at a local Healthcare facility surrounded by his family. Ras was a dedicated soldier and served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Ras is preceded in death by his father Razzie Matthews; mother Jessie Trentham; brothers Raymond and Donny Matthews. Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 21 years, Judy Matthews; son Rowland Matthews (Melissa) from Georgetown, KY; daughters Ramona Matthews from North Bend, OR and Rowena Rivest (Paul) from Colorado Springs, CO; step-son Tony Newman (Kim) from Roseville, CA; sister Jo Wanda Eichholtz from Prairie Grove, AR; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America or the charity of your choice.
