Randy Lee McMinn
Together once again. Randy Lee McMinn joined his sweetheart, Vonda Arleen McMinn, and his beloved Jesus, mother and father in Heaven on Monday, August 25, 2025. A steadfast and faithful husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend,
Randy lived a life that was unapologetically and authentically honest and straightforward. With good spirited laughter, sincere concern for others and a smile always on his face, he loved the simple life, his family, God, and his sweetheart more than anything else. With a career starting out as a truck driver in the army in Hawaii, where he met the love of his life, Randy enjoyed a lifetime career in logistics that spanned working in the oil and gas industry, long-haul truck driving where he and Vonda explored the roads and highways of the United States together and eventually retiring after running the shipping department for Brown Stove Works in Cleveland, TN. He took pride in his work while also enjoying spending time working on creative projects that Vonda would always come up with. They were truly, in all aspects, the term they coined for their relationship, "Meant to be," creating a life filled with joy, love, laughter, music, art, the river, and making unforgettable family memories.
Randy and Vonda's love story spanned 42 years and with her unexpected passing on July 1, 2025, he longed for nothing more than to be reunited again. His legacy will carry on through his son Scotty, daughter-in-love Stephanie and all eight of their grandkids: Jacob, Izak, Patrick, Brady, Shayla, Jase, Alexes, Kallie and great-grandchild Jayden.
Randy longed for the reuniting in heaven with his beloved mother and father, Clifton Aaron and Dovie Ann McMinn and enjoyed the visits and conversations with his brothers and sisters remembering "the good ole days," especially as of late while recalling childhood and young adult shenanigans. Brother: Ricky McMinn Sisters: Janie Scott, Peggy Clarke, Joellen Wood and Rosemary Smith.
Family truly was the heartbeat of this family and after the loss of both of Vonda's sisters Carla and Theresa, he and Vonda remained close to his sister-in-law Lynette, her husband Thomas and brother-in-law Jackie. Randy held a specially close and trusted relationship with his niece Sarah and her husband Adam that involved many porch sitting conversations revolving around life, love, family, and Christ.
Randy was able to rest peacefully at his and Vonda's peaceful "River Beach House" in his final weeks under the care of Hearth Hospice, and his family Scotty, Stephanie, and Sarah.
A private celebration of Randy and Vonda's lives will be held at a later date.
