Phyllis Wilson

Phyllis Ann Wilson, 83 passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Phyllis was born in Charleston TN on June 12, 1942 to parents ParaLee (Scroggins) and John Mitchell Johnson.

Phyllis loved to travel, working in her yard, decorating her home and setting up for entertainment gatherings. Loved to sit on her front porch and spend endless hours talking to friends and family. Loved to talk about the Lord and how blessed she was and how good the Lord has been to her. Loved her little dog Chico dearly. She had worked at Bradley Memorial Hospital and McMinn County Health Department.

Phyllis is survived by her brother John and (Kathleen) Johnson, nieces Karen Renell Cochran and Chelsey Rae Wininger, nephew Joshua Alexander Johnson and eight great nieces and nephews and dearest friends Patsy and Benny Bivens.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald Wilson.

People seen her with a beautiful spirt inside and out and thought of her as a stylish woman.

Companion Furneral Home will receive friends and family for viewing at 400 S White St. Athens TN 37303 on Friday, January 9th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral Service held on Saturday, January 10th at 1:00pm following with graveside gathering at New Zion Baptist Church 393 County Rd Athens TN 37303. Pallbearers include Don Stewart, Mike Stewart, Scott Stewart, Casey Wilson, Tommy Wilson, and John Riddle.
