Phyllis Laura (Holden) Clayton

Phyllis Clayton passed Friday morning October the 7th, 2022. She was an life long Green Bay Packers football fan and a devoted member of the Disabled American Veterans and Eagles organizations. 

She worked in the service industry as a waitress and as a bartender. Phyllis also drove an 18 wheeled semi truck for a short while.

 During her remaining years she maintained a booth at Fosters Flea Market in Murphy NC, her Murphy Family as she called them. Phyllis lived her life her way, remaining independent until the day she left this earth. Those that knew her will miss her greatly.

 Phyllis raised six children, Becky Jo Hupman, Alan Chalker, Kenny Chalker, Bonnie Goodson (Deceased 1992), Todd Tompkins (Deceased 2010) and Steve Tompkins. She has 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. 

Phyllis insisted that no formal service or memorial was to be held, that everyone should remember and celebrate her life in their own way. Rest In Peace Mom / Phyllis. You are missed.
