Pete C James

Peter C. “Pete” James, 63 of Bradley County, TN, was called home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025. He was a loving husband, Dad and Pop-Pop to his family and a good friend to all that knew him. Pete was born to J.D. and Audrey James in Ohio on April 6, 1962. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Cleveland, Tennessee where he was faithful until sickness hit. Pete enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters who he loved very much, also his family and friends and dog, Harley.

Peter was preceded in death by his son, Anthony James; father, J.D. James; stepfather, Leonard Franklin; with grandparents and several uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rolydia Woody James; son, Charlie (Najha) James; granddaughters, Aria and Persephone James all of Cleveland, TN; mother, Audrey Franklin of Florida; brothers, Mike James of Venice, FL, Paul (Kim) James of Flowering Branch, GA; sister-in-law, Darlene Woody of Bradley County, TN; along with 3 nephews and 5 nieces; many great-nephews and great-nieces, and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
