Peter Lynn Dolezal, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 70 in Ringgold, Georgia. Born on October 24, 1955, in El Paso, Texas, Peter found joy in life's simple pleasures and dedicated himself to his family, faith, and community.
He was a proud graduate with a Bachelor's Degree and built a successful career as the owner of an HVAC business, Genesis; At Your Service. His hard work and entrepreneurial spirit were equaled only by his devotion to his family. Peter was a wonderful father to his children-Jessica Dolezal, Josh Dolezal, and Jenny Rind. He found immense joy in being a grandparent to Cody Rind, Scarlette Dolezal, Skylar Rind, and Ohry Rind, and great-grandfather to Ember Rind and Saylor Rind.
A dedicated Christian, Peter's faith was central to his life, guiding his values and actions. He was deeply involved in his community, serving as a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America and as a member of the Optimist Club, where he worked to uplift and inspire the youth around him.
Peter loved spending time outdoors, frequently indulging in his passions for fishing and hunting. His enthusiasm for life extended to traveling with his beloved wife, Lois, sharing countless memories while enjoying good food and the company of family. He was a true family man, who often emphasized the importance of these connections and the joy they brought him.
He is preceded in death by: Paul Dolezal, Treva Dolezal, Sue Dolezal, Debbie Browning, Dave Dolezal, Margie Dolezal
Peter's zest for life, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lois Dolezal, his children, his brother Tony Dolezal, and his grandchildren.
In honor of Peter's life, visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Companion Funeral Home, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.The service celebrating his legacy of love, faith, and community will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe, 2645 Old Lafayette Rd, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742. His spirit will forever inspire those he touched.
