Peggy Shaw Dale, 82, a resident of Cleveland, TN died, Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 9:48AM. b. Peggy Ernestine Bowman in Baltimore Maryland, the daughter of Ernest Bertram Bowman (deceased) and Beulah Mae Bowman (deceased). Her and her husband Bobby Joe Dale (deceased) were Seventh Day Adventists, Conservative Republicans, Landlords.

For Many years her and her husband operated Yesterday's Treasures and A-1 Treasures until their retirement; Peggy Shaw Dale served as aide de camp to her son Tim E. Shaw, Broker, General Contractor, Attorney, Investor - and was active in real estate investments, working in the office when able, and listed her employment as 1St Enterprise Real Estate & Construction on her Facebook page. Peggy and BJ enjoyed living in a home that her son Tim E. Shaw built for her, within 400 feet viewing distance of his own home. Peggy and her son Tim were very close, loved one another and were fiercely loyal.

Peggy loved her firstborn son Gary Shaw and was always there for him - they enjoyed spending quality time together shopping, driving her Jaguar XJ6, watching Wrestling, traveling to Florida with Gary and his son Ernie Shaw, playing cards, attending Estate Sales, Auctions, buying goods for Yesterday's Treasures and A-1 Treasures, working together at the stores, and her taking care of her favorite cat Moonshine and many other cats - as mother Peggy became known as a "cat lady."

When Tim E. Shaw had serious life threatening health issues during his final semester of law school in 2007 - the two of them, Peggy and BJ, moved to Houston, Texas, attended classes, carried his books, cooked, cleaned, attended his graduation, moved him back to Cleveland, TN and saw him through his bar exam, life saving surgeries, his swearing in ceremony at the Tennessee Supreme Court, and his ultimate recovery. They were present when Taliyah Shaw was born who suddenly replaced Tim as their favorite (rather joined). Frequently seen together during family dinners, vacations, church attendance, business at the office and at other locations - inseparable. Peggy enjoyed shopping at the bargain stores, playing uno with Taliyah, keeping up with politics, interacting on Facebook, reading her bible, discussing theology with Tim, and talking with her family and friends.

Peggy became very ill in 2021, placed in ICU in Chattanooga, TN and the family was informed that there would be no recovery - upon hearing the news Tim and Taliyah moved into the Hospital for over 40 days and nights, assembling a team of doctors who were persuaded through much dialogue to perform 3 thoracentesis procedures, and against the odds - achieved another 4 years, 10 months, of quality living for which the entire family gives Praise To God as these were the best of times.

Peggy lived in Tim's home for 7 months but as feisty as she is - she went home and spent over four years independently. Her final week was spent in the hospital with a family member always present with her. On the fourth day, it was believed that she would be going home as all seemed well but it turned worse suddenly, and then recovery, and again on the sixth day it was believed that she would be going to rehabilitation but then suddenly things turned for the worse again, and she was sent to the ICU - both her sons stayed by her side in the ICU until after her death the next morning on the seventh day where she entered her rest.
