Peggy Cansler

Peggy Elizabeth Cansler, 82, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 23, 2025. She was born on September 27, 1942 to the late Harrison and Beatrice Holder.

Peggy was of the Baptist Faith. She loved shopping, reading, watching western shows, working on her flowers, and was a gifted cook. She retired after many years serving as a registered nurse. She was extremely selfless and loved providing for her family.

In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Bud" Cansler; brother Eddie Holder, brother-in-law Bill Cansler; and infant sister Harriett Holder.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Cindy Mayton (Randy), Jake Cansler (Donna), Melinda Haire (Stephen Larson); grandchildren: April Johnson (Lyle), Shane Cansler (Erin), Amy Nave (Chad), Becky Keller (Josh), Dustin Cansler (Kaylee), Matthew Haire (Christy), Jeannie Brown (Dustin); great grandchildren: Lexi Haney, Isaiah Nave, Avery Cansler, Callie Bird, Oden Cansler, Nolan Brown, Aaron Brown, and Gabriel Johnson (Krysta). She also leaves behind sister in law Christine Mayfield and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at 4pm on Saturday July 26th at the "Ridge Chapel" of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service. Her family will receive friends from 1pm until the 4pm service. She will be laid to rest at 2pm on Sunday July 27th at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Shane Cansler, Dustin Cansler, Chad Nave, Isaiah Nave, Josh Keller, and Matthew Haire will serve as pallbearers.
