Peggy Bailey

On June 18, 2026, Peggy Bailey, age 89, of Chattanooga went home to meet her Lord and Saviour. She passed peacefully from this lite, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength. Born on April 24, 1937, in Fyffe, Alabama, Peggy grew up surrounded by the values that shaped her entire life — family, faith, and kindness.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Brunell Coffee; her husband, Kenneth Bailey; sister, Faye Blackwell, son-in-law Robert Barnett.

She is survived by her children, Alania Barnett and Alan Bailey (April). Peggy was a devoted grandmother to Jonathan Barnett (Tiffany), Jake Barnett, Austin Bailey, Copper Bailey, Desiree Coen, Katie Sharp (Keith), Josh Barnett (Becca), she was blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy.

Those who knew Peggy will remember her spirit, her steady devotion to her family. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, unwavering love, and the simple, meaningful moments that bind families together.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her. There will be a private funeral service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
