Paulette "Polly" Kyle McDaniel, age 71, of Tellico Plains, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on April 13, 2026. She was born on January 28, 1955, to the late Everette "Pete" Kyle and Rhoda Joe Kyle.
Polly was of the Baptist faith and found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved sewing and quilting, singing with her family, and preparing meals for those she loved. A devoted caregiver, Polly spent many years caring for others, often traveling to do so, something she truly cherished. She was known for her spitfire personality, a bit of sass, and her independent nature.
In addition to her parents, Everette and Rhoda Kyle, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Kyle and Ellen Kyle.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Courtney Kyle; her grandson, Zachary Tipton; her sister, Janie (David) Tilley; her brother, Rusty Kyle; her beloved niece, Amy (Michael) Dawson, with whom she shared a special bond; her great-nephew, Shelby Dawson; and her former daughter-in-law, Laura Tipton, along with other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Athens, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bill Dawson. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery (630 Paint Rock Valley Rd, Philadelphia, TN 37846).
You are encouraged to share a memory of Polly and extend condolences to her family by visiting her memorial page and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens and the Cody family are honored to assist with these arrangements.
