Patty Kay Scott, 66, passed away August 18, 2024, at her home. Born December 19, 1957, to the late James Neal Farris and Emma Francis Parham Farris, she was a lifelong resident of Bradley County.
Patty Kay, as lovingly known to her family and friends, was an amazing cook and hostess. With her infectious laugh and welcoming nature, she opened her home to everyone. Many days Patty Kay could be found enjoying a good romance novel or cheering the Tennessee Vols, all while decked out in a fluffy robe paired with fuzzy socks. The loss of her amazing hugs, laughter and ability to love big will be felt by so many.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, James Scott; son, Jason Scott; sisters, Ida Blackwell and Mary Fritts; and brother, Gene Farris.
Remaining to reflect on and cherish the happy memories are her children Cheryl (Jonathon) Allen of Cleveland; Veronica Scates of Roeland Park, KS; Mark (Angie) Scott of Cleveland; Rick (Cindy) Scott of Tiki Island, TX. Grandchildren, Drake and Corbin Allen, Crystal Medina, Jennifer Newman, Marla Scott and Will Scott. Also, several great-grandchildren. Siblings twin brother Perry Farris, Ella Register, Robby Farris, David Farris and Linda Shockley. Additionally, special nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, as well as very special friends.
The family will hold a private celebration of life ceremony at a later date.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Patty, and your condolences, on her online memorial at www.companionfunerals.com.
