Patrick Gordon
Leighton
Nov 11, 1953 — Aug 9, 2026
Patrick Gordon Leighton, affectionately known to many as "Unk," passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on November 11, 1953, Patrick lived a life defined by love, laughter, hard work, friendship, and an unwavering passion for the open road.
Patrick was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Neva Jo, and a proud father to his four children David, Corey, Michelle, and Patrick. He is also survived by his sisters, Cindy and Lori; his brothers, Michael and Brian; and his cherished nephew and riding companion, Nick, with whom he shared an especially close bond.
Known for his incredible work ethic, Patrick spent much of his career operating heavy equipment. He approached his work with the same dedication and determination that he brought to every aspect of his life.
To know Patrick was to know a man who was unapologetically himself. He never met a stranger and welcomed everyone he encountered with an open heart and open arms. He was exceptionally talkative, quick-witted, and full of life. Through his humor and gift for storytelling, Patrick could turn an ordinary moment into a memory and bring laughter to those around him. He loved his friends deeply and treasured the countless memories they made together.
Above all, Patrick found a special sense of peace and freedom on the back of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He affectionately called riding his "wind therapy." Whether riding alongside his nephew Nick or traveling with his many friends and fellow riders, Patrick loved the feeling of the open road and the freedom that came with it.
Patrick was a larger-than-life presence whose authenticity, humor, generosity, and love touched countless people. He left an undeniable mark on the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His stories will continue to be told, his laughter will continue to be remembered, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Patrick will be deeply missed and forever loved.
