Norita Jane Terry, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at the age of 78.
Norita lived her life with a generous heart and a genuine love for others. She was a devoted Christian who spent much of her life serving the Lord through her church and serving those around her. Helping people was simply part of who she was. If someone needed help and she was able to give it, she would be there. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to give of herself touched the lives of many people.
Norita especially cherished her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent with her loved ones and created memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
In her quieter moments, Norita enjoyed reading and taking vacations with her sisters. Those trips and the time spent together were special to her and gave her many wonderful memories to carry with her throughout her life.
Norita is survived by her daughter, Krystal Culbertson, and son-in-law, Timothy Culbertson; her grandchildren, Joshua Terry; Matthew and Maranda Krewson; Timothy H. and Amanda Culbertson; Christopher and Colene Culbertson; and Antulio and Auburn Van Meir Castillo; her two sisters, Jan Nissen and Nancy Scroggins; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard "Butch" Terry; her daughters, Kimberly Cagle and Karen Terry; her brothers-in-law, John Nissen and Alvin Scroggins; and her parents, Norman and Juanita Grenz.
Norita leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, compassion, and service. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her willingness to help anyone in need, her devotion to her family, and most of all, her love for the Lord.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and has gone home to be with the Lord she faithfully served.
The family will welcome guest Friday, September 11, 2026, at God's Family Fellowship from 10:00-Noon. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor David Dodson, at Noon. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 1:30.
In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made in Norita's memory to God's Family Fellowship Church.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure,
and her love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
