We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Nicky Norwood I, who departed this life on December 17, 2025, at the age of 73. He departed from this world at his home surrounded by loved ones and into the arms of Jesus. 

Nicky C. Norwood I was born on January 30, 1952, in Illinois. He spent his formative years growing up in Cleveland, TN, where he was surrounded by love and support. Nicky attended Bradley Central High School and later pursued a career in welding. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and friend who cherished his family and the bonds he formed with those closest to him.

Over the course of more than 40 years, Nicky excelled in the trade of welding. His dedication and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his co-workers. Nicky made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him, and his commitment to his craft was evident throughout his career. 

Nicky was an avid sports fan who found great joy in watching his children, grandchildren and watching Liam the oldest great-grandson, play sports. He enjoyed cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers and watching Nascar. These moments brought him happiness and connected him with his loved ones.

Nicky was preceded in death by: His father Carl A. Norwood, mother Katherine Kaylor-Norwood. Along with his brothers, Carl (Butch) Norwood and Randy Norwood. 

Nicky was survived by: His wife, Sherry Norwood of 53 years. Daughter Amanda Crisp (Mitchell), son Nicky Norwood II (Amy), 

Granddaughter, Lauren Ream (Dakota) great-grandson Liam, great-granddaughter Rory, granddaughter Emily Mills (Dawson), grandson Gunner Norwood (Julia), grandson Garren Norwood, granddaughter Emma Waddel, grandson Dillon Crisp (Shania) great-granddaughter Maelee, grandson Austin Crisp, great-granddaughter Amelia. His sister Debbie Bucker, brother Timmy Norwood. Along with serval nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A small Celebration of Life for the family and close friends of Nicky will be held at a private location on January 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, where loved ones will be gathered together in honor of Nicky's memory.

May Nicky rest in peace, surrounded by love forever. Nicky wanted everyone to know, "Just Love Each Other."
