We are heartbroken to share that Nicholas Mason Taft, age 35, passed away July 21, 2025, in Cleveland, TN.
He is survived by his loving wife, Erin Quinn Taft of Cleveland, TN; parents, Mason and Vonda Taft of Loganville, GA; step-mother, Bobbette Taft; sister, Kaci (Dusty) Bramlett; nephew, Dylan Maxey; In-law, Joel Quinn and Dollene Quinn; sister-in-law, Kelley Quinn; sister-in-law Meghan Belin; and many beloved young nieces and nephews.
Nick attended South Gwinnett High School, University of West Georgia, Georgia Southwestern State University, and Gwinnett Technical College.
He worked at Home Depot for 8+ years, and most recently at Chattanooga Design Works in Tennessee, where he was able to explore his creative side.
In his younger years he was a member of the South Gwinnett High School Marching Band of Stars and Wind Symphony. He enjoyed music and was proficient in playing the piano, flute, and xylophone. He participated in numerous sports, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts earning prestigious awards and merit badges. He also had a passion for Karate, attaining 7 belts, participated in tournaments earning trophies and awards.
As he grew up, he developed a passion for writing fantasy stories and created elaborate tales as a Dungeon Master for his DND group that he ran for over 7 years. He loved history, science, computer programming, online gaming, videos, chess, competitive board games, movies, and adored cats. Most of all he loved spending time at home with his wife and their pets, Poe, Milo, Klaus, and Littlefoot, and singing silly made up songs about their everyday life, showing his lighter side to only those closest to him.
