NeVaughn Dwight Bridges, Sr. 41, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away January 3, 2026. He was born on May 14, 1984, and was a member of Chattanooga Community Church.
NeVaughn coached several baseball teams throughout the community & made a lasting impact on every player he coached. He carried the titles: Best Dad ever, Baseball Dad, Football Dad & Wrestling Dad. His personality was unmatched as he was a big jokester and had a great personality with a contagious laugh and smile that lit up the room.
NeVaughn is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Marvin Strickland, Juanita Strickland; mother, Flora Ann Strickland; father, Paul Bridges and uncle, Nathaniel Strickland.
Left to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Natasha LaShaun Bridges; cherished son and best bud , NeVaughn Dwight Bridges, Jr.; daughter, Destiny Denise (Jordan)Henry; brother, Marvin Terell (Rhonda) Caldwell; sister, LaWanda Bridges; grandchildren, Traven Daniel Henry and Simone Denise Henry; aunt, Marchyrel Leverette (Leatrice Strickland); uncles, Herchel (Jackie) Strickland, Anthony (Carolyn) Strickland, Travis Strickland, Kenneth Strickland; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421, from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Chattanooga Community Church, 6528B Old Dayton Pike, Hixson, TN 37343, with Pastor Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial will be held at Tyner Cemetery, following the service.
