Nellie "Faye" Melton, 83, of Athens, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 16, 1943, to the late Fred and Marie Gourley.

Faye is survived by her devoted daughter, Angie Moses; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica White and Ethan Everett; as well as several great-grandchildren and extended family members who will continue to honor her memory.

She was of the Baptist faith and held her family close to her heart. Faye will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In her memory, the family encourages everyone to take a quiet moment to reflect on the special memories they shared with her.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services.
