Naomi Ruth Prince

Naomi Ruth Prince, age 69, of Benton, Tennessee, passed away on May 25, 2026. She had been a resident of Benton for the past 26 years. Naomi enjoyed the outdoors and loved traveling. She was an avid fisherman who enjoyed camping and never missed an opportunity to catch a race at the nearest dirt track. She was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to so many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Prince; and her mother, Elizabeth Floyd.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her boyfriend of seven years, Donnie Lay; brother, Herman Shaffer; daughters, Candy (Robbie) Thurman, Diann (Mark) Tallent, Delinda (Robert) Burnett, and Sue (Jarrod) Ledford; sons, Danny Prince and James Wooden; along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with Danny Hicks officiating. Naomi will be laid to rest following the service at Calhoun Community Cemetery.
