In Loving Memory of Nadine Jackson Tinti

Feb. 4,1951 -- Nov. 1, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Nadine Jackson Tinti, Age 74, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday after a courageous fight against cancer. She was surrounded by her loving children in her final moments and will always be remembered for her love for family, which grew stronger with each new generation.

Born in Queens, New York, to an immigrant mother, Nadine's story was one of resilience from the very start. She always strived to turn her pain into purpose. She was extremely passionate about raising awareness for domestic violence victims and helping women find their own strength through the organization W.I.N. (Women In Need).

Nadine was also passionate about cooking. She loved passing down Filipino recipes through the generations and will be remembered for her dishes that brought us all together. She also loved storytelling and the arts. She was an incredibly talented painter, a lover of theater and a wonderful writer, especially of poetry.

However, there is nothing she loved more than family. She taught us many important lessons throughout her lifetime, but none more important than the significance of family. Nadine was a proud mother of five children: Dawn, EJ, Jayme, Clarae and Remo. She was the world's most fun grandmother to granddaughters Jessica, Brianna and Veronica, and spent the last few years soaking up the happiness that comes with the role of great-grandmother to another generation of girls: Nora, Margot and Ophelia. Her love for each member of her family was boundless, and we will each miss her more than words can say.

Those who knew Nadine will always remember her as a soft place to land with her unique way of making everyone feel seen and heard, and her rare ability to bring a smile to anyone's face, even in the most difficult of circumstances.

She is survived by all of her children: Dawn Volz, Edward John Burdyl, Jr., Jayme Tinti, Clarae Tinti and Remo Tinti; Son-in-law: Ron Volz; Niece: Veronica Brown; Grandchildren: Brianna Haleski, Veronica Oliver and Jessica Volz, as well as her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by and currently rejoicing at the reunion in Heaven with her Mother, Florentina Jackson, and sister, Marina Jackson Waugaman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Savannah Stage CO. to support her love of art and theater, and to help continue Nadine's mission to spread awareness for Domestic Violence victims, something the Savannah Stage Company is committed to doing in Nadine's honor.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 6:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home, with The Cleveland Chapel with Pastor John Ledford officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00pm - 6:00pm prior to the service.
