Minna Lee Hembree

Minna Lee Hembree of Cleveland TN went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday April 27th of 2026 at the age of 87. She was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, in 1938. She always loved her Southern roots.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Gertrude Brewer, by her loving husband of nearly 69 years, Merle Hembree, by her brothers Bobby Clayborn, and David, by her sisters Barbara and Loretta, and by her son Michael Lee.

Minna was survived by her brother Elmer, her sister Marie, her children Sheila, Tim, Steve and Dan, and by lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as numerous family and friends. Minna was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She cherished her family dearly. Minna's greatest love is her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to worship and sing his praises. Her light shone brightly towards others, always lending a helping hand in time of need whether it was cooking or cleaning, ironing, baking or babysitting. She was always ready to help. Minna Lee will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.

Minna's family will receive friends from 12pm until 1pm on Friday May 1st in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 1pm following the visitation. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Minna's family requests that donations be made to Brookdale Mt. Vernon or Hearth Hospice, as a token of gratitude for the wonderful care they both gave to Minna and the Hembree family.
