Mildred Louise Dills

Mildred Louise Blankenship Dills, 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026, following a hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer.

Louise attended Little Consasauga Baptist Church, and she was a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years. Louise's faith was evident in the way she lived her life, graciously caring for and serving others. Louise was the rock and foundation of her family, both immediate and extended. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted friend to many. Louise was an amazing cook, and no one could resist her red velvet cake.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, James V. and Marie (Ensley) Blankenship and beloved son, Brian Dills.

She is survived by her loving family - husband, Steve Dills, daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Shane Bowman, granddaughter, Ensley Bowman, cherished nephew, Colton Davenport, and many extended family members including cousins Sharon Williams and Pam Presley Weber, who provided unwavering care and support during Louise's cancer journey.

A celebration of Louise's life will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Sanctuary. at 2pm. Pastors Johnny Townsend and Billy Webb will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 2:00. Interment will follow the service at Ball Play Baptist Church.
