David Michael "Mike" Gass

David Michael Gass "Mike" of East Ridge, Tennessee passed away on March 21, 2026 at the age of 78. He was born on February 23, 1948 to Mitchell and Goldia Gass. He enjoyed collecting music, coins and stamps, travel, oil painting as a younger man, spending time with loved ones and telling stories. Most of all, he enjoyed helping others. He graduated from Chattanooga Central High School and attended college for a period of time before going into Insurance.

He was preceded in death by Mitchell Madison Gass and Goldia Opal Gass.

He leaves behind his brother Steven Darrell Gass (Jane), nieces Stephanie Harvey (Neal), Amy Helton (Kenny) and second niece Erin Harvey, second nephews Luke Harvey (Haley) and Walt Helton. He also leaves behind his longtime friend Joseph Conrad Holp (Debbie) and "adopted" niece Sarah Ashley Holp. Mike will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 2:00PM until 4:00PM at Companion Funeral Home located at 6018 John Douglass Drive in Chattanooga. A Celebration of Mike's Life will begin at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
