Michael James Fisher (Fish)

Michael James Fisher (Fish), born on November 9, 1959, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, passed away at Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga, on September 4, 2026, at the age of 66, after a brief illness. He is survived by his brother, Mark Fisher of Maine, his two daughters, Jessica Toig of California, Nastassja Pelletier of Maine and son Noah Fisher of Chattanooga.

Michael was preceded in death by: Parents Richard and Lois Fisher, also sister Meagan Fisher.

Michael spent his work career in Chattanooga TN, where he was employed in the fabrication industry as a welder, contributing significantly to the construction of heavy road-building equipment. After he left the welding industry, he relocated to Dunlap, TN. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Michael found joy in riding, along with, working to rebuild his classic Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His passion for motorcycles was matched only by his love for storytelling, often sharing tales of the adventures he experienced throughout his life. 

From his youthful days growing up in Maine, where he created lasting memories with friends and family, to the countless journeys taken on the open road, Michael's narratives were filled with laughter, smiles, and moments of deep reflection. In addition to his love for motorcycles, Michael had a genuine curiosity for the natural world. He spent time reading and researching a wide variety of subjects, particularly enjoying discussions on natural phenomena and the latest scientific findings. Michael was also deeply engaged with current events, particularly the political climate, and was always willing to express his thoughts and observations about the nation. Music was an integral part of Michael's life. He played both electric and acoustic guitar and had a small collection of his favorite models. 

Visitors to his home quickly recognized his passion for music, as he would often go on to discuss his favorite musicians, albums, and unforgettable performances. While Michael was not actively involved in the lives of his daughters and son in recent years, he took pride in their accomplishments and expressed a heartfelt desire for them to live happy, healthy, and successful lives. Michael's legacy will live on through the stories he shared, and the love he held for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
