Melvin Darell Siler Sr., 72, of Englewood went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026.

Melvin was a hardworking man who spent much of his life in roofing and masonry work. He was also a skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on cars whenever he had the chance. In his free time, he loved being outdoors, especially camping and fishing. One of his greatest companions was his beloved dog, Bacon, whom he cherished dearly.

Above all, Melvin will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors, and the care he had for those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stacy Siler; grandson, Levi Beaty; father, Virgil Siler; mother, Doris Lasley Bray; and brothers, Vernon Siler and Tommy Siler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Melvin Siler Jr. and Amanda Beaty; grandchildren, Isaac Siler, Jenna Siler, Leah Beaty, and Noah Beaty; great-granddaughter, Lainey Siler; brother, James Siler; and special nieces, Amy and Nicole Earls.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amber Stiner with Hospice of Chattanooga for the compassionate care and support she provided.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
