Melissa Ellen Garvey

Melissa Ellen Garvey, 45, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 22, 2026. She was born in Chattanooga on May 19, 1980. She was of the Christian faith. The beach was her favorite place. It made her feel calm and happy. She enjoyed her job and took pride in her work. But most of all, she loved her family. Some of her best moments were going to the movies with her son, Michael, and her daughter, Olivia, sitting together and sharing laughs.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arles Manery and Ila Jean Williams.

She is survived by her son, Michael; daughter, Olivia; parents, Gwen and Walter Garvey.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Swafford Davis Cemetery located at 190 Swafford Cemetery Road in Georgetown.
