Meleah Dawn Geren

Meleah Dawn Geren, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Born on June 15, 1972, Meleah was a proud graduate of Cleveland High School and remained deeply rooted in the Cleveland community throughout her life. She was of Baptist faith and was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met.

Meleah was employed with Walmart for over 20 years, where she was known for greeting each customer with a warm smile and friendly conversation. She will be deeply missed by her coworkers and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcy and Janice Geren of Georgetown, Tennessee, and her grandparents, James and Johnnie Ratcliff.

Meleah is survived by her devoted partner of over 30 years, Gene Ramsey of Cleveland, Tennessee; her sons, Dakota Geren (Cristin Jackson), Mathew Ramsey, Trevor Ramsey, and Colton Ramsey, all of Cleveland, Tennessee; her sister, Michelle Anderson of Florida; her nieces, Phallyn and Olivia Anderson of Florida; her aunt, Deanna Thacker of Ooltewah, Tennessee; her cousins, Taylor Belcher (Lee and Cooper) of Birchwood, Tennessee, and Angela (Dennis) Mahoney; her close companion, Ocean Stephenson of Cleveland, Tennessee; and her longtime friends, Angie Jones and Tammy Stephenson, both of Cleveland, Tennessee, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Meleah found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and the love she so freely gave. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Mathew Ramsey, Trevor Ramsey, Colton Ramsey, Dennis Mahoney, and Eddie Thacker.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home, with Bishop Eddie Dobbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
