Melanie Denise Gold, 63, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, born in Hollywood, Florida, passed away on October 31, 2025.
Known affectionately as Mel, Melney, Mimi, and Mom, Melanie was a bright and spirited presence who never met a stranger. She loved dancing, singing, acting, and spending time at the beach, but her greatest joy was being a devoted mother and Mimi.
Melanie was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church at St. Elmo, where she found deep fulfillment singing in the choir.
Though small in stature, she made a big impact on everyone who knew her-through her kindness, her laughter, and her warm, outgoing spirit.
She is survived by her son, Zachary White, and her daughter-in-law, Hannah White, of Chattanooga, TN; her beloved grandson, Maverick White; her sister, Sheila Rodriguez, and brother-in-law, Mario Rodriguez, of Port St. Lucie, FL; her brother, Rick Gold, and sister-in-law, Terri Gold, of Belle Glade, FL; and her brother, Mark Gold, and sister-in-law, Tracie Gold, of Athens, TN.
She is reunited in heaven with her father, Othar "Rick" Gold; her mother, Leda Holland Gold; and her brother, Jerry Gold.
Melanie's light, laughter, and love will be carried forward by all who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life honoring Melanie will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Silverdale Baptist Church - St Elmo Campus, 4500 St Elmo Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37409. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM and service 10:00 AM. Officiated by Pastor Travis Jones.
