Matthew William Scroggs

Matthew William H. Scroggs, 41, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 12, 2021.

He was a lover of the outdoors, but most of all, he loved spending time and being a father to his son, Isaiah.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe (Retta) Scroggs of Cleveland; maternal grandfathers: Willie Ensley and James (Kitty) Poe of Cleveland; uncles: JB and Raymond Scroggs of Vero Beach, FL, Jewel Scroggs and Randal Ensley of Cleveland; aunts: Mary, Delores, Laura Ruth, Clara Jean, and Retta of Cleveland.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Joan and William L. Scroggs; his pride and joy, Isaiah Scroggs; stepdaughter, Danyua Stephens; sister, Kelley Rogers (Mark Elrod); brothers: Barry (Dee Dee) Ensley, Billy Scroggs; step brothers: Shane and Darnaise Smith of Cisco, GA; grandmothers: Edith Poe of Cleveland and Elveda Smith of Cisco, GA; aunts: Tammy (Paul) McConnell of Old Fort, Marlene (Ron) Derrick of Cleveland, Bridgitt Oswalt of Benton, KY, Lisa (Donald) Gilbert of Rossville, GA, Jamie Anthony of Tullahoma; uncles: Chris Ensley and special, loving and caring Uncle Allen (Paula) Poe of Cleveland; nieces: La’Keshia Smith, Shandy Dunn, Ma’Kinzey Blair; and nephew, Luke Patterson.
