Mary "Lucy" Millard Rogers, 89 of Birchwood, Tn, entered Heaven's gates Friday, May 30 at her home. She was born on October 14, 1935 to the late Bill and Ellen Millard. She married the love of her life, Floyd "Fate" Rogers, February 10, 1949. She was a member of Burdette Baptist Church. She worked at ProGroup as a golf ball producer and embroiderer from the time they opened their doors, until they closed. She later retired from Cooke's Manufacturing. She loved crappie fishing, Braves baseball, wrestling, and finding deals at yard sales, but she loved taking care of her family more than anything.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd "Fate" Rogers. Her brothers: Tom Millard, TJ Millard, Clyde Millard, and Ben Millard. Sister: Willie Millard Rogers.
Mary leaves behind many precious memories to be cherished by her family.
Children: Tony (Carolyn) Rogers, Ginger (Landy) Bolen, Stevie (Cindy) Rogers. Grandchildren: Dustin (Becky) Bunch, Adam Bunch, Keisha (Timmy) Haines, Michael (Amanda) Bolen, Josh Rogers, Steven (Erica) Rogers, Brittany (Dustin) Murray, Meagan (Brian) Rogers, Morgan (Cade) Rogers. 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. Sister: Margie Wilhoite Special friend Martha Bean, nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God took you home. If tears could build a stairway, and heartaches make a lane, we would walk our way to Heaven, and bring you back again. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still, in our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. We love you mom- Tony, Ginger and Stevie.
A celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Burdette Baptist Church with Pastor David Evans officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at McInturff Cemetery with Michael Bolen, Josh Rogers, Steven Rogers, Andrew Bunch, Dustin Murray, and Cade Thacker serving as pallbearers.
