Wanda Hayes

Wanda Hayes, 95, Formally of South Charleston, West Virginia and Avon Park, Florida passed away December 15, 2025 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born on October 9, 1930.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsie and Freda Parsons. She was also preceded in death by three husbands: Claude C. Hughes, Jr.; Robert L. Hayes, Sr.; and Walter E. Tate

She is survived by Jeanie (Ed) Haldeman; Rick (Sylvia) Hayes; Tom (Glenda) Hayes;

Kathy (Bill) Hammond; Barbara (Steve) Hunt; and Rob (Debbie) Hayes. She is also

survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family and

close friends.

Wanda lived her life loving and caring for family and friends while always serving others, and

never met a stranger. She was full of hospitality. She loved God, her country, and

her beloved West Virginia homeland. Her big wonderful family was her joy! Her

leadership skills and work ethic blessed many.

Mary was laid to rest at Collegedale Memorial Park.
