Mary Lee Fansler Dubose, 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on October 22, 2026. She was born on January 6, 1943, to the late Bill and Thelma Millard.
Mary had a deep love for nature and the outdoors. As a member of the Cleveland Master Gardeners Club, she took great pride in tending to her plants and beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed hiking and spending time outdoors. Mary had a compassionate heart and was a dedicated advocate for the Foster Parent Association, opening her home and heart to many foster children throughout the years. Above all, she cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved. Mary was also a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Hershal Fansler; and her siblings, Betty Millard and Billy Millard.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Steve Dubose; son, Les Fansler (Cindy); daughters, Donnad Jones (Ed Tarver) and Vickie Clayton Fansler; sister, Carolyn Withrow; and Cathy Owenby, who was like a daughter to her. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Soos (Jared), Cassy Martin (Josh Wolfe), Ashley Webb-Grabe (Nick) and great-grandchildren, Halen Martin, Iris Martin, Hayden Soos, Hunter Soos, Casson Soos, and Rex Grabe.
Mary also leaves behind her stepchildren, Paul Dubose (Brenda) and Michael Dubose (Becky); and step-grandchildren, Emily, Leah, Joshua, Parker, Colton, Aiden, and Madelyn Dubose, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Mary's family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A graveside service will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
