Mary Alice Usery

August 29, 1933 — February 9, 2021

Mary Alice Usery, age 87, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side, Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

A native of Greenfield, Tennessee, she and husband, E.J., made Parsons, Tennessee their home for many years before moving to Cleveland.

She was the daughter of the late Alma and W.T. Pollard. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, E.J. Usery, her sister, Linda Riddick and brother, Dr. Bill Pollard.

She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Before succumbing to cancer, she was very active in the community and her church. She will be remembered for her deep faith and generous, kind spirit. She faithfully reached out to those in need with prayers, cards, food and donations. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Usery and his wife Kathy of Cleveland, Tommy Usery and wife Vickie of Morris Chapel; brother Tommy Pollard and wife Margaret of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Missy Chastain and husband Jeremy of Cleveland, Marty Usery and wife Sara of Sparta, Ian Usery and wife Vicky of Murfreesboro; great-grandson Hunter Chastain of Cleveland, great-granddaughter Lily Usery and great-grandson Henry Usery: step-granddaughter Elizabeth and step-grandsons, Josh and Chris.

There will be a graveside service with family Saturday, February 20, 2021 where she will be placed next to her beloved husband.

The family requests memorials to be made to the Sac Pac school program (through The Caring Place) at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 3405 Peerless Road, N.W. Cleveland, Tennessee 37312.
