Listen to Obituary

Marvin Roger Curtin, age 65, passed away on January 9, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1960.

Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Curtin; his mother, Peggy Ayers; and his father, Thanuel Curtin.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Curtin; sisters, June Spoonamoore, Kelly Williams, and Holly Curtin; brothers, Aaron Curtin, Shannon Curtin, Noel Curtin, and Kenny Curtin; as well as multiple bonus children. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of close family friends who will miss him dearly.

Marvin was a highly skilled and talented brick and stone mason, a craft he took great pride in and truly enjoyed. His hands built more than structures-they built lasting impressions of dedication, craftsmanship, and heart. Outside of his trade, Marvin found peace in woodworking and comfort in watching classic westerns.

More than anything, Marvin touched countless lives through his kindness and compassion. He had an extraordinary ability to see the good in everyone he met and lived by a simple but powerful goal: to do something good for at least one person every day-often many more. He will be remembered as a genuinely honest soul with the kindest heart and a wonderful sense of humor. His quick wit, playful jokes, and contagious laughter could light up any room, and he found true joy in making others smile just as much as he did in helping them.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home - Cleveland Chapel. A private graveside service will follow. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian, Chico, Kenny, Mark, Christian, and Freddie.
