Marvin Mack Cogdill

Marvin M. Cogdill, age 72, of Sweetwater, TN was born on Feb 13, 1953 and passed away on January 23, 2026 at Sweetwater Hospital.

Marvin was a very good-hearted man who would help anybody that he could. He was the best and most loving Daddy in the world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Cogdill; granddaughter, Chelsea Atkins; parents, James and Katherine Cogdill; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Juanita Wilson; sister in-laws, Cindy Frank and Nancy Cogdill; brothers, Billy Cogdill and Ronnie Cogdill; and brother-in-law, Roy Hall.

He is survived by his daughters, Carey (Donnie) Fridley and Karen (Randy) Atkins; two grandsons, Dakota Fridley and Bryson Fridley; two granddaughters, Macy Atkins and Jordan Fridley; three great grandchildren, Stetson Watts, Asha Fridley and Kehlani Fridley; brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Judy Wilson; four brothers, Edward Cogdill, Jimmy (Elvina) Cogdill, Leslie (Elaine) Cogdill and Leon Cogdill; two sisters, Nancy Hall and Tammy (Timmy) Powers; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews who loved and adored him; and many other loved family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6:00pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Reverend Ted Clowers officiating the service. A Visitation will be held prior from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
