In Loving Memory of Marty Beach

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marty Beach, at age 79, on July 3, 2026. He was a devoted father, grandfather, veteran, and friend whose life was defined by faith, service, hard work, and love.

Born on April 28, 1947, in Van Buren County, Tennessee, Marty lived a life that reflected the values he held dear. A proud Vietnam veteran, he served his country with honor and carried that pride with him throughout his life. His unwavering faith in God, deep love for his family, and steadfast patriotism formed the foundation of the man he was.

If you knew Marty, you knew that he was one of the hardest working people you would ever meet. He drove a supply and ammunition truck while serving in the Army, and continued that career with his Dad for many years at Beach Trucking, then later with Shelton Construction Co. He believed in showing up, lending a hand, and doing every job with integrity. Whether helping a neighbor, working alongside friends, or supporting his family, he never hesitated to put others before himself.

He also had an unforgettable sense of humor. Marty loved making people laugh with his endless supply of jokes and stories, bringing smiles even during life's most difficult moments. His laughter was contagious, and his presence made everyone feel at ease.

Marty appreciated God's beautiful creation and was an avid hunter and fisherman; he never got over the smell of the fresh mountain air or the glory and beauty of a sunrise.

Above all else, Marty treasured his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Solon Beach and Joanna Grove Beach and son-in-law, Keith Ford. He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Tracie Ford, Kristy and Chad Smith, and his son, Matt and Christy Beach; his beloved grandchildren, Patton Ford, Blair Ford, Drew and Gracen Smith, Grant and Natalia Smith, Arden Beach, and Brock Beach. He also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Dee Kinnard, Ann Lee, and Jan Mitchell, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Marty's life cannot be measured simply by the years he lived, but by the countless lives he touched. He was respected by those who served beside him, admired by those who worked with him, loved by his friends, and deeply cherished by his family. We are grateful for his legacy of faith, service, generosity, laughter, and unconditional love.

In his honor, please join us for an informal time of remembrance and refreshments at: The Lodge at Fall Creek Falls State Park, Cascade Room, Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 2 to 4 PM central time. Tribute and Memories at 4:00.
