Marilyn Melton Heier

Marilyn Melton Heier, 86, of Rossville, GA passed away August 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born February 3, 1939, to the late Frank & Doris Melton, in St. Petersburg, Florida and of the Methodist faith. Marilyn was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church, very active in church and her senior center in Ringgold. She was loved by many, especially the Coleman girls.

Survived by her daughters, Lynda Sumpter and Michele Chapman; brother, Larry Melton; grandchildren, Stephen Sivley, Daniel Sivley, Matthew Sivley, Ryan Chapman and Kristen Chapman Pauley; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Pauley, Milo Chapman, Harrison Chapman, Zayden, Jaxson, Cameron, Kaitlyn, Emmett, Opal and Kason Sivley; step-grandchildren, Sofia, Buddy and Choice.

A celebration of life will be held at Graysville United Methodist Church at a later date.
